Emigrating Norwegians

Juletreet! // The tree!

In my family we never decorated the Christmas tree before December 23rd, but here in the US it seems like it’s ok to do it as long as it’s December. And when you’re married to a man that turns 12 years again every Christmas it’s definitely ok! We were planning to do it yesterday while drinking traditional Norwegian Christmas drinks and eating home made cookies from my mom, but that didn’t happen.. I got the worst migraine I’ve ever had and had to go to bed at 10. Fortunately I felt much better today, so our wonderful tree is shining brightly in our livingroom now! Like Per Christian said: It’s the perfect LA tree – it’s beautiful, but fake!

I’m a Norwegian girl who is leaving the cold, icy north together with my husband to find out what’s happening on the other side of the world, more specifically Los Angeles.
