I applied for a job at Moods of Norway last week since they have a store on Melrose Avenue and are a brand that I like and know well. Since I’ve never worked in retail before I didn’t really think I’d even get a response, but figured that it couldn’t hurt to try. I actually got an answer right away and an interview the next morning. This was Thursday last week and I had my first day as a keyholder for Moods of Norway today. So things happened fast.

It’s exciting to do something completely new – and we need the money. My colleagues are super nice and the clothes are fantastic, so I think I’m gonna like it!

When I got home my husband had bought me a first-day-at-work present. It’s a picture I saw the other day in a store in Burbank. I’m usually not a big fan of this kind of pictures, but I totally fell for it because I think what it says really applies for us and what we are doing.

I’m a Norwegian girl who is leaving the cold, icy north together with my husband to find out what’s happening on the other side of the world, more specifically Los Angeles.
